About Caitlin Frank | Maine Documentary Photographer
Hi, I’m Caitlin.
I love capturing moments that are candid, adventurous, and full of feeling—moments you can’t put into words, but that you feel in your bones. Whether it’s an elopement, a family session, maternity, portraits, or even commercial and branding work, my goal is always the same: to capture the real emotions, the little glances, the laughter, and the quiet connections that make life so beautiful. When you look at your images, I want you to feel everything you felt in that moment, as if you’re living it all over again.
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad was the one who first sparked my love for it—he’d take me along, let me practice with my camera, and encourage me to see the world through a lens. I fell in love with film early on and spent countless hours in the darkroom during high school, developing prints and learning the magic of capturing light and emotion. There’s nothing more fulfilling to me than seeing someone’s face light up when they see a photograph of themselves, and that joy fuels every session I take.
My work is grounded in a set of values that guide everything I do: honoring my clients, respecting their time, taking care of them, and approaching every session with loyalty and integrity. I strive to create an experience that feels effortless and meaningful—so that your portraits aren’t just images, but heirlooms you’ll cherish for a lifetime
